Your privacy is important to us. This notice explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is linked in the footer of every page.
We collect information from you when you register on our site or sign up for a free or paid service. When ordering or registering, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address or phone number. You may visit and browse our site without giving us any of this.
Depending on how you use the site, we may also collect:
Any of the information we collect from you may be used to:
We use a variety of security measures to protect your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit or access it. Our site is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Payments. Card details are entered on and handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Passwords. Passwords are stored only in a scrambled, one-way form. No one at Balat Capital, including our administrator, can see your password. If you forget it, we email you a link to set a new one.
Support access. To help with support questions, our administrator can view the site as a member sees it, in a read-only mode that can't make changes or payments.
Backups. We keep backup copies of our database so your account can be recovered if something goes wrong. Copies are stored securely on our hosting provider for 14 nights, plus one weekly copy for 8 weeks. A compressed, encrypted weekly copy is also kept in our business email account (Google Workspace).
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow this in your browser settings). Cookies enable a site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
We use cookies to keep you logged in, to remember which referral or partner link brought you here (see above), and to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site (for example, which pages are visited and which links brought them here). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, device and approximate location; it does not give us your name or payment details. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. We also remember which link first brought you to our site so we can see which of our channels (such as YouTube or X) are most useful.
Do Not Track. Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals from web browsers.
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run parts of the site for us, and only as needed to provide that service:
We may also share information when the law requires it. Partner tax forms are shared only with our tax preparer and the IRS.
Referral notice. When a friend joins through your referral link, the email telling you about your credit includes that friend's first name.
Questions you type into Ask BC are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer, together with relevant excerpts from our lessons. We store each question and answer, with your account (or, if you are not logged in, your IP address) and the time, to review answer quality, enforce daily limits and improve the service. Please don't enter personal, account or financial details in your questions.
If you add Balat Capital to your home screen, your device may keep copies of public pages you have viewed so they can be shown when you have no connection; member pages are not saved, and logging out clears saved pages. If you turn on phone alerts, we store the alert address your browser or phone gives us (and your account, if you are logged in) and the alerts you chose, so we can send them through your device's notification service (Apple, Google or Microsoft). You can turn alerts off any time on the Get the App page or in your device settings.
When you create an account, we send emails about it (receipts, trial and renewal reminders, payment notices) and may send occasional educational emails and offers. Every marketing email includes a link to unsubscribe at any time.
If you sign up for our free Sunday Levels email, we use your email address to send you that weekly email and occasional Balat Capital offers, such as the BC Weekly Market Outlook trial. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe at any time.
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
Balat Capital is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If we learn that we have, we delete it.
This online privacy policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.
By using our site, you consent to our privacy policy.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page and update the date at the top. This policy was last modified on 10/25/2026.
